My name is Luciana Brito, I am a Healer and Quantum and Spiritual Teacher.
I was invited by dear Lyn to write articles for this beautiful Magazine, on the day of our drum class.
The experience was magical and I felt in my heart that it would be wonderful to participate in this work of writing articles every month, and I decided to share them in my blog. In this first article, I decided to write about healing through dance. Dancing has always been a part of my life, and for the past few years, I've practiced very little, and I've been wondering why I stopped, if I felt so good.
I live in Australia for 10 years, but I am Brazilian, and the dance and music are very strong practices in my country, Brazil is a multicultural country, from one end to the other you find different types of practices and cultures, has dance linked to Brazilian Indians, German, Spain, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Lebanon, Portugal, Italy, Africa, China, Japan, and much more ... It has always fascinated me in my home country, because in Brazil there is a bit of every culture from around the world and I could have access to music and dance from various locations.
Also, I have German and Polish background from my father’s side, and from mother’s Portuguese, Spanish, Indian and African, so I grew up dancing and learning from so many cultures, ... Music and dance have always helped me feel alive, empowered, beautiful, capable, energized, light, connected to the whole ... and when I stopped, it was like part of myself was missing. That month I talked to the universe and said I really wanted to dance again. As a result, as soon as I arrived in Melbourne for work in November, I was invited to watch a belly dance show, and as soon as I returned to Gold Coast, it's only been a week since I'm back, a dinner that was going to happen yesterday, turned to a 2 hours and half dance in a Sacred Women circle, for Iemanja, one of the Goddess archetypes, celebrated in Brazilian culture, by African influence. I have danced with all my body and soul, as I haven’t done for a long time, the energy of being able to dance for Great Mother in the group of sacred feminine, released a feeling to be totally present and connected with my whole being, love, freedom, self love, lightness and empowerment and much more that I can't describe, that what I can only think of is gratitude for that happened yesterday, and I can't wait to go again. Dance is one of the main ways to access, reconnect directly to the feminine essence. The Woman's Essential Femininity can be rescued through movements that originate from the woman's creative, receptive, welcoming and integrating essence, from her womb, which emerges from her body, nourishes, transforms, heals, brings consciousnesses to our purpose and love. It also lets on the surface of our being, all that has been repressed from this powerful force that has fallen asleep in our unconscious and help us to release what we don’t need to cary anymore.
Dance is so powerful, and the joy of being in a dance and celebrating within a women circle is a gift.
